HAPPY 37th BIRTHDAY GUNNY!
January 23rd message:
Greetings all,
Been a while since I've gotten some of these out... busy times have been upon us. All is well... my USPS FPO will be deactivated on FEB 1st... so the weeks following will include getting my ass out of here! On to Camp Lejuene, and then DC from there for the follow-on piece of this deployment. Been a long haul, good… bad… indifferent… successful none the less… out in 2014 they tell us.
Just wanted to thank everyone for all your great support while over here... the Marines with me were often happy campers as a result of all your great care packages and creature comforts. As I have told many already… it’s that expression and a simple thank you that makes it all worth it… brings a little bit of welcomed comfort from home to us all as we perform our duty away from family and friends. Please know that your support has aided the ability of Marines in continuing to serve our great Nation in a forward position, and carry out our mission.
Again, thank you for your Patriotism and most generous support… SEMPER FIDELIS. With Fortitude, Mike
